VLC cannot find Audio files on IPAD 4

Hi,

I have an IPAD 4 32GB 4G With ios 6.0.1 jailbroken.

I installed the free VLC for Ios to be able to listen to certain audiofiles whose duration will not show correctly
in the audioplayer native to the IPAD, any other player even on my android phone.
VLC is able to play these files on my android phone whilst displaying the correct duration thus allowing
me to skip certain parts.

These files appear to be standard .mp3 but are not visible to VLC on my IPAD despite working perfectly with VLC on android.
I synced my audiofiles with itunes and even tried it with an another application but despite my attempts i have been unable to view or open my audiofiles
with vlc for IOS.

I would very much appreciate any help!

VLC for iOS does not support audio only files.
