Opening video file shows wrong name of file

Postby mindstormer » 10 Jun 2013 22:41

I renamed a video file because there's a typo, but when I open the the video file, the title that is displayed for the first 3 seconds is still the old video file name with the typo, not matching the new video file name. How can I fix this? Same thing seems to apply to music files because the title of the song shown on the VLC media player does not match the actual music file name.

P.S. Got an Android phone, is MX Player still the best player available? How does VLC compare to it?

probably because the wrong name is inside the file tags?

I thought VLC was supposed to simply display the file name. How do I go about changing the file tag so that VLC displays the intended video file name?
