For Kindle Fire, I think you can take the ARMv7: http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/arm ... 0-0120.apk

I had to open video files on the network by clicking file in ESfile explorer. Couldn't see how to navigate in VLC. Video played, but pixelation and skips. Maybe Kindle File is underpowered?

There is a button called Open MRL in the main interface that you can use, if you know the URL.

I always use nightly build and till now there is no big success in hardware decoder. I use mx player too to know what my device is capable of. Mx has two hw decoder named as hw and hw+ where hw+ is not similar as our device decoder. This decoder support many verity of videos which hw doesnt support. So people get benefit of chipset. I want same benefit in vlc too. I have lot of videos which vlc shows as hw not supported and mx can play using hw+ . So isnt there a way in vlc which could help and use hw to decode lots of video?

Some of the hw not supported video vlc only play audio but video is null, some of hw not supported make vlc hang and some hw not supported video, vlc try direct rendering and play well

Why Vlc try to get thumbnail from middle of video? Why not on few seconds? Thats why thumbnail creating is too much slower in Vlc.

I've got several troubles with version 0.11 on my smartphone (android 2.3). At first, it haven't started after installing, showing me black screen only. I've needed three reinstalls to get it to work. Then the program opened as it should, but in the middle of searching for media files it just stoped reacting to anything. Same problem with playing audio (mp3) and video (mp4) - 1 to 5 files were played and then program became indifferent to any command.
I hope you'll fix it, vlc is my beloved PC player and I'd like to have an android version too =)
