Install VLC media player on Nokia N900 phone (Maemo 5)

Hi there,

I'm just trying to install the VLC media player on my N900 device: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-maemo.html
VLC 1.1 is available for Maemo 5 with the VLC Hildon interface. Following the link http://www.videolan.org/vlc/maemo/vlc.install package manager on my device cannot find the package displaying this error message:

404 Not found [IP: 88.191.250.9:80] -> ganesh2.videolan.org

Can anybody help me?

The correct URL is http://www.videolan.org/pub/videolan/ma ... ackages.gz

Note that VLC for Maemo is no longer maintained.

The url now appears to be this:-
http://download.videolan.org/pub/videol ... ackages.gz

So how is it possible to use it? Because if i change the package link , it's still applying the older path :/
