Even though I select to preserve my settings when I uninstall the previous version, my Podcast subscriptions disappear whenever I update the version of VLC. I think I can understand the technical reasons, but this is major suckage from a user standpoint. Am I going to have to run a LUA script to do a backup/restore of my subscriptions as part of my update process? Such a script should automatically be part of the uninstall/reinstall cycle.
On the off-chance this is a platform-specific issue, here is the info:
Windows Vista Home
Toshiba laptop w. Intel Celeron M. onboard sound, etc.

I just discovered the podcast feature and am experiencing a similar problem.
The difference is that my podcast subscriptions disappear on their own. I haven't even upgraded. They just disappear after I've closed the program.
