Opera plugin?

Postby pengyou » 10 Feb 2011 14:17

I have read people in other forums talking about a vlc plug-in for opera but I cannot find any VLC plugins for any browser, even though I am pretty sure I used it when I used Firefox. Is there such a thing? If so, how do I go about getting it?

I am in exactly the same boat. I have a security camera system that says to access it with Opera running under Windows. I have to have the VLC plugin and directs me to the home page for VLC. I don't find anything there that looks like what i need. I have installed VLC several time on various computers in the past and never run across a plugin -all links open VLC outside the browser.

There is a plugin for Opera, the normal Mozilla one.

I just searched Opera's add-on list and didn't find VLC. Can you please be a bit more specific about where to find it and, if not really simple, how to install it?

Install the normal VLC and it should work.

I have re-installed VLC and the app still says I need to have the VLC plugin. Opera says I have no extensions installed. FireFox says I do have it but it still doesn't work with the application. I guess I'll have to get with the developer
