Schedule limited to 6 append control commands?

Postby Sierra454 » 15 Jan 2013 07:13

First I gotta say that VLC is an amazing application! Great work everyone!

I have just loaded 2.0.5 on XP and discovered what appears to be a limitation that strikes me as odd so not sure if it is a bug or not.

I am setting up the scheduler using a telnet script. After 6 append control commands, it (gracefully) wont accept any more. I have tried setting up a second scheduler name but 6 is the top. I am transcoding several streams to that need to be restarted occasionally due to network issues so I can only do 3. A stop then a play command every hour does the trick.

I was previously using 0.8.6 with multiple instances of VLC, with each instance having its own schedule. 2.0.5 seems more robust so I am running all streams from the one instance. Limitation became apparent when I tried to combine all individual schedules into one big one.....

If it is by design, I can go back to the old method no problem. If its a bug.....

Thanks for the great work
