This totally fixed my problem. I had the 32-bit version of VLC but had installed the 64-bit version of libaacs.dll.I had the exact same issues you guys are describing. Turns out I had downloaded the incorrect libaacs.dll. Make sure you have the correct libaacs.dll:
Go to http://vlc-aacs.whoknowsmy.name/
Check the install directory of your VLC.
If the directory is: "c:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC" you need to download the 64bit dll.
If the directory is: "c:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC" you need to download the 32bit dll.
I am now able to play Blu Rays with no problem. Hope this helps!
Try a nightly build of 2.1.x (be sure to put libaacs.dll in the same directory as that vlc.exe too) from here:Edit: Besides, there is two windows on the screen, the first, large is the actual movie and the other small is empty called VLC(Direct3D output)
Ah yes - I had an issue with the latest one too, presumably a Windows regression(?). Try an older nightly build. This one worked fine for me:Thank you.
I downloaded vlc-2.1.0-git-20121230-0002-win32 (exe) and there is only one window, but video is not good now. It runs unevenly and there are all kinds of problems on the screen.
You may have already done this (and I posted on previous page) - however one method is: Press "Windows Key + R". That should bring the "Run" dialog up. Type %appdata% into there and press enter. That should take you to the correct application data folder. If an aacs folder isn't there, create one, then put KEYDB.cfg in that.Alright, so I went to http://vlc-bluray.whoknowsmy.name/ and... I can't find %appdata%/aacs. It just isn't there. Now I'm not good at poking around in the inner files of my computer, so maybe that's why I can't find it, but... Yeah. I do know how to get into appdata though. Also, when it says to put the aacs library into VLC's directory, does that just mean put it into it's file? I am stuck and would really appreciate help.
*EDIT* Ok, so I read back a few pages and found something about CREATING the aacs folder. Did so, put the appropriate file in it and... Still not working. Might still be due to the aacs library being in the wrong spot. Help is appreciated still!!!

Thanks for your quick reply. The one long title appears to already be selected. I can select others and re-select the long one... no effect.Change the title manually in the playback menu.
We all agree on this. This is why so many people cannot be bothered paying for legal BDs/DVDs any more. I cannot get my expensive new BBC Wonders Collection BluRay to play, so will end up watching it on a cracked copy somewhere. Excessive DRM controls just encourage piracy cos the pirates are the only ones who know how to play & copy them! Senseless.
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=106570but i cant found the folder named aacs
and also i can't find C:\ProgramData\aacs is there anything need to install apart from vlc player ,my machine is windows 8 64 bit enterprise
I'm about to make everyone's day...
There's a subtle note about this "experimental" AACS decoder library. It currently does not support titles. This simply means that, after you installed the two files to the proper locations mentioned at http://vlc-bluray.whoknowsmy.name, when you pick your drive to play of course pick the Bluray option but also BE SURE to check the "No disc menus" option. The Blu-ray will now play properly but it will default to Title 0 or the another main Title. Within VLC simply right-click --> Playback --> Title and pick the largest length Title since that is most likely the main movie. The other Titles will be the disc extras, previews, etc.
