Shading/Lighting issue?

Postby Phantomzwei » 11 Dec 2012 04:36

Hello, I've recently noticed when I have been watching anime that I can see lines that are different shades of a color. I never noticed it before but now that I do it's pretty frustrating as that is the main thing I concentrate on looking at now. I have a picture here from what I was watching, It's and MKV file. I do have an i7 quad core, 8 gigs of ram and nvidia geforce 555m graphics card. It seems to be only when dark objects are displayed as the back of the guys jacket.

Use OpenGL video output.

I have tried this, the screenshot I took is actually in OpenGL output. I've also tried DirectX..nothing really seems to help. The same thing applies when I use Media Player Classic Home Cinema. I am running VLC on my intel hd 3000 graphics rather than nvida, I doubt that's the issue as its more than capable of HD playback.

Yes, I have the latest nvida driver 310.70..although it is a beta. I have also went to the intel website and my intel HD graphics are up to date as well. Could it possibly the files themselves?
