Unfortunately, from what I saw on the support forum, Media Preview is broken on Windows 8 RTM. So you can either keep an eye on the official site for an updated version, or on the support forum. Or if you're a reasoned programmer, offer your assistance.Well surprisingly it didn't do the trick. I still see the cone icon.
