delete the playing song

Is it possible in vlc to delete the song that is just playing? Then vlc could start playing the next song in list/folder. Thank you. Or: do you know something/app that could do this?

For obvious reasons you can not delete a file which is actually being opened and used, and VLC has no feature allowing to delete files.

Sure you can delete a file being played. However VLC does not have a UI for this. It would be too easy to delete files accidentally.

The files could go to Trash or there could be usual dialog like "Are you sure?". This "feature" is meant as a straigt simple way to tidy up folder full of songs -
