Postby VIDEONUTT3 » 10 Nov 2012 12:49

HI,I do not know if this the right place for these questions, but right now i have only been on forum site a few weeks and got your site from BLEEPINGCOMPTER .COM.
Here is what i am working on.
I have DVDS recorded from a MAGNAVOX DVD recorder that when i put them into my PC i get a picture about the 10" X 12" on a 32" PANASONIC HDTV,i have gone into my
Nvidia graphic card and changed screen size but did not change on HDTV screen, sound works alright, but would i be right in that when you play a video on YOUTUBE and use
the full screen mode that is built into YOUTUBE and my DVDS do not have that feature my screen resolution right now is1824X992 what i would like to do is add a little to the height
and width is this possible,THANK YOU

That is a "problem" with your TV. You mostly probably need to disable overscan. The procedure depends on the manufacturer, so check your TV manual.

Leave your computer to the normal resolution.

HI,I was able to get full screen with your help, also in my TV remote there is a "format" button to change screen size and with the cropping feature in VLC
i was to use the two combined and get a full screen picture. Working with some of these computer programs it is like a pig rooting in the forest looking for truffles, thanks

You don't need to use cropping in VLC. This is a TV configuration problem; you need to configure the HDMI input to PC mode rather than TV-or-whatever mode.
