schedule recording at 23:00 of internet radio stream

Hello,
Running Xubuntu 12.04, and VLC 2.0.3. Under "open network stream", after entering the network URL, at bottom 'start time', I've tried entering 23:00:00:000, and have highlighted the 'record' button(on main screen). I can't get it to start at that time, or any time. Otherwise it plays the stream fine. I just can't get it to start recording at a certain time.

Start time is the initial offset within the stream, not the wall time when the playback starts.
