Remote for VLC

Hi all,

I've found a remote control application for android ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... remotedemo ). It works with you phone's screen turned off all the way. Why did nobody think of this before.

I have one question for both application for android and the remote HTTP interface: why is the link to the album art referring to the HDD and it is not a streamed through the web interface ?

Because the Android version extracts the album art from the media file itself and stores it in a cache.

Yeah, but the HTTP interface of VLC does not know where to get that info from.

I think VLC's HTTP interface does export the album art, if I am not mistaken. You could ask in the right forum: viewforum.php?f=16

This export cannot be really accessed from HTTP
