MotoCast + VLC + My Gallery

On my PC I converted an old DVD to a format that use the following signiature: VTS_01_1.VOB. The VLC app plays this fine on my PC. When I try accessing the file thru my Verizon Razr MAXX with MotoCast with MY GALLERY I recieve the following error: "Error during video playback. Motocast was not able to playback this file; it migh not be in a supported format". I can initially see the picture of my file with the play symbol on it. When I click play the error pops up. I've downloaded the VLC software to my phone. Any ideas?

Can you open it with VLC's built-in Directory View?
