I'm using VLC 2.0.3. Windows XP Pro SP3, BioStar motherboard TA790GX A2+, using onboard Realtek audio.
When I play commercial DVDs, I'm getting no voice track at all - only the background music plays. This problem occurs in Both Windows XP Pro and Linux Mint. Haven't change anything in hardware setup. The problem also occurs in other media players, e.g., Potplayer.
Audio is fine in the Realtek setup utility - loud and clear. But in all Windows applications volume is very low (e.g., Skype). Only in VLC is there no voice audio at all.
In VLC I've tried setting different audio channel, track, device. I've updated drivers, tried every possible setting in Audio Settings and Devices, and every option in Realtek HD Audio Manager - no joy. Hoping someone can help.
