i am new at this site & this player as well, like it so far,if i just figure out what it is to do with it.
what i am trying to do is convert a mkv to an avi file,i tried doing this today,what i ended up with was a file with ps instead.
i have looked this up & cant seem to find anything close to it, so here i am,the info i have found was on wiki & you tube & from sourceforge all of it, kinda general,but its not enough
what i did was after i got the player going i went to media-open file-convert/save,then a box opened up,opened up the file which i highlighted clicked the add button,then i hit convert & save,then another box opens up with the profiles with all the differnt formats,which i picked the wmv +wma then you have the 3 buttons on the right which the 1st 1 i clicked the avi,the second tab has wmv2,the audio tab has the same,the rest i didnt do anything with for i am not sure about this stuff & left it alone
clicked save & start,it took about 3-4 hours to do this,is it supposed to be this long in saving a movie?,is there a way to change this to where its not so long.
sorry if you have run into this before,as i say all of this is very new to me any info would be helpful i dont know if i did something wrong or not.
