capturing still pix from a vid

Postby Julianlzb87 » 07 Aug 2012 13:00

First... sorry if this has been covered but I can't find a similar topic.

I would like to capture some frames as still shots,.

Is this possible with VLC and if so how?

Thanks.

I have found the, embarrassingly simple, procedure....

While viewing a vid...

click video tab
click take snapshot

What I do is go to the buttons and choice:
TOOLS
CUSTOMIZE INTERFACE

That allows you to custom all the bottoms and I ADD SNAPSHOT and then during playback, I put my buttons on the bottom, PLAY<STOP<.... the SNAPSHOT and do it while
watching a video.

The SNAPSHOT on the VIDEO pull down is OK but find the SNAPSHOT on the custom buttons faster.
