VLC Player 2.0.3 or 2.0.4 > Internet > Freebox TV > empty/blank/no list
All others work; Pod casts, Free Music Chart, Icecast Radio Directory, ...

Messages verbose 2 ...selective paste...
access_http error: cannot connect to mafreebox.freebox.fr:80
access_mms error: cannot connect to mafreebox.freebox.fr:80

I use PeerBlock, turn it off, still same error
I researched the problem and a post suggested trying nightlies build so I installed 2.0.4, same error.

Checked to see if site was down, and it appears so, but two day now I don't think so.
Tried: http://www.isup.me/mafreebox.freebox.fr
Result: "It's not just you! http://mafreebox.freebox.fr looks down from here."
isup.me is probably looking for normal website, but link is for special ~content, and maybe isup.me thinks it is down because mafreebox.freebox.fr doesn't reply proper http data.

So I tried SamSpade 1.14 on mafreebox.freebox.fr
DNS returns: 212.27.38.253, PING fails,
However parent domain freebox.fr = 212.27.48.11, PING success!

Don't know what else to try.

To be clear for others that read this post; "behind" means that you have a "freebox" piece of hardware that allows you to connect to "mafreebox.freebox.fr"

So the name is misleading it is not free, you have to buy a box; just like a cable modem or dsl modem to access the internet.

I just installed a Freebox v6 Revolution and I got the same problem as Glenn2012 after pasting "http://mafreebox.freebox.fr/freeboxtv/playlist.m3u" in File > Open Network of VLC 2.0.5 : no list appear in the Freebox TV window.

Two days ago (when I had my previous Freebox v5) everything was working, a long list of channels appeared in the Freebox TV window and I could watch many TV channels with VLC.

Is this a problem linked to my settings of the new Freebox v6

No, I can't open the m3u in my browser (tested with Safari, Firefox and Chrome). I get only a blank page with : "#EXTM3U"

I got the same result after restarting my Mac from a complete disk backup that I made a month ago - i.e. at a time where I could get Freebox TV with VLC 2.0.5.

Thus my problems come from the new Freebox v6 or my current settings.

After a call to the Free Hotline, I think that I understand the reasons of my problems : they told me that I couldn't get Freebox TV on my computer if I didn't subscribe to the multiposte option.

No, mutliposte is included in the TV option.

You are right ... but I didn't have the "Multi-TV" option at 4.99 €/month .

As soon as I subscribed to the "Freebox TV" option at 1.99 €/month, I could receive the TV channels on my TV set and on my computer.

VLC was working perfectly and was not at the origin of my problems.
