Sound is fine, screen is freezed !

Hi...
i have fedora 17, i have downloaded VLC player, yet when i play movie with it, it plays, sound is fine but the problem is that the screen freezes at start....

Please guide me to solve it, thanks

Can you list the repositories from which you have installed vlc ?
yum repolist ?

Does the problem still show ?
