I am getting this message now every time i try to select a secondary or tertiary audio stream, surround sound ac3 5.1 audio - the triggering event is the selection of 5.1 in the audio device menu branch. it happens regardless of file. all my files are dvd rips transcoded to M4V files using handbrake, variable bit rate video x264 - only recently has this phenomena been occurring - will test on my other boxes
current VLC version is VLC media player 2.1.0-git-20120819-0402 Rincewind. not sure what version of the C++ runtime library is being used - its a Win7 ultimate box using a an HDMI video out to onkyo av receiver and panasonic plasma monitor - sys info and event error log entry follow
