No sound at begin of movies

Postby DeMus » 04 Aug 2012 12:10

Hi,
I am using LinuxMint 13 KDE with VLC 2.0.3 Twoflower in 64 bits version. With every movie I try to watch there is no sound. Sometimes it takes a few seconds, sometimes a few minutes before the sound starts. When I play the same movie with another media player I do have sound.
What can I do about this? Are there more people having this same problem or am I the only one?

Also, what is the setup you are running? Are you outputting to an A/V Receiver over HDMI? Analog speakers built into your laptop?
