Resampling

Postby acrel » 18 Jul 2012 20:00

Hello there,

I've been trying to figure this one out for some time now, but haven't had much success.
What I would like to do is resample to a specific frequency, say 96khz. Back in VLC 1.x this was pretty straightforward as there was an option to enable resampling and another to set the target frequency. Since VLC 2.x, however, I can't find that latter option anywhere.
So what I'm hoping to get out of this is that either someone points out the time and place where the frequency can be set, or somebody explains to me how resampling can be done nowadays.

Thank you.

P.S.: I'm on Windows 7 32-bit.

If you want output at 96kHz, then you have to configure the audio device driver. VLC will automatically resample to the correct frequency then.
