I think VLC broke my keyboard

Postby vulcanfury » 07 Jul 2012 04:41

Hi guys, I need help.

I played a video using VLC in a folder in Dropbox. Afterwards, my left Ctrl key is causing my computer to mute, and the left Windows Logo key is causing my computer to shut down. THe problem never happened prior to that. How do I fix this? The problem is not present when I have VLC window active.

Thanks!

I'm gonna borrow a new keyboard, then. I fixed the Muting problem by using Sharpkeys. The Shutdown problem is still a problem. I'm really careful at typing now... BTW, no problems if I use the on-screen keyboard.

You may want to go to the preferences and check the hot key settings in the hotkey in the interface setting to make sure neither are set to do what you are having to happen.
