Sharing a playlist across different operating systems

Postby Kotiya » 03 Jul 2012 00:42

I would like to make a mix playlist (like a mix CD), one that I can send to a friend so they can listen to some songs in a particular order. I have a Mac 10.6, they have Windows 7. Is it possible for them to access the shared VLC playlist file? If so, would they have to save the actual music files under a certain filename?

As a last resort I can just number the song names, but I'd rather not, for their potential convenience if they decide they don't want the titles numbered.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer :D

Thank you for the quick reply!

How does it locate the music for the m3u file? Does it find it from anywhere on the harddrive, or a particular folder/path thing?n Does it just need to be in the same folder as all the music that's it's recalling from?
