Balloon blocks Time Slider in Full Screen Mode

Postby hivolbill » 30 May 2012 05:18

I am using the most recent version of VLC on a PC with Windows 7 Professional.
I am using the recommended 1600 x 900 resolution display on my Dell S2009W monitor.

After updating VLC, I started getting a problem in full-screen mode.

When I put my mouse pointer over the time slider, the "balloon" appears that displays the time where my pointer is pointing to on the Time Slider.

But instead of displaying above the line, the balloon is too low and obscures the line, and blocks my mouse pointer from clicking anywhere where the balloon is. Which is anywhere I'm pointing to.

The balloon appears so low that I can, with difficulty, overcome it by clicking a very small area ABOVE the ballon. The balloon should be appearing well above the Time Slider.

The balloon appears above the time slider and does not obscure the Time Slider when I am not in Full-Screen Mode.

Is this a bug or is there a setting that I can play with?

Does it happen wherever you put the fullscreen controller?

Does it happen wherever you put the fullscreen controller?

Yes. When I drag the controller to various parts of the screen, it behaves the same.

I removed the slider, added two more functions to the controller, then put the slider back into the controller, but it still behaves the same.

You don't have to test the nightly builds because I'm now able to reproduce the bug with your vlc-qt-interface file.

Thanks.

Fix pushed to the 2.0 maintenance branch. Should be in the next nightly build and the 2.0.2 :)
