no video from axis mpeg4 encoder after vlc update

Postby allegfede » 24 May 2012 13:57

Hello.

I have an Axis 247s mpeg4 video server i use to stream video from a remote site to my office via ethernet connection.

Usually i use VLC to watch the images (and listen the sound), but when i upgraded vlc to VLC 2.0.1 Twoflower i can listen the sound but the video i black.

codec info from tool menu gives me dif0=mp4v and dif1=mp4a aac) but no picture at all.

connecting to the axis server trough firefox gives me audio and video via integrated quicktime plug in .....

any hint?

ps: this is the url for video stream: rtsp://192.168.1.xx:554/mpeg4/1/media.amp

I can't help you, but I can confirm that there is a problem with MPEG4 RTSP playback with the latest VLC Windows version.
This is what I noticed: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=100950
