Most Recent VLC Upgrade won't play .TP files anymore!! :(

Hello all!!



If any of you would be so gracious and kind as to help a fellow VLC user out, that would be truly appreciated!!

I recently just downloaded the latest version of VLC player on my Windows XP laptop. Before this download/upgrade, I had some 1080 Video files in the .TP format that could play just fine without any problems smoothly.

Now, only the audio plays and in terms of video, I just get a black screen with nothing being shown of course.

Does anyone know what might be the issue? I would truly appreciate any feedback! Thanks so much everyone!

i have just tried the latest x64 nightly build (vlc-2.1.0-git-20120422-0403-win64.exe) and it can play fine my .tp generated from my Dvico FusionHDTV7 card. Could it be that the file association with .tp extension was removed on your machine ?

File associations don't really cause black screen issue when playback is happening.

Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) will tell you more.

I tried doing the Tools --- > Messages and switching to verbosity (2 debug) while playing the videos
