Pause and resuming of a HTTP stream

Postby ov1d1u » 21 Apr 2012 21:39

It seems that, if I pause and resume a HTTP stream the playback will look like I'm playing a corrupted video files, with choppy sound and video artifacts. The only way to fix this is to stop and then reconnecting VLC to stream. Is there any way to fix this (I'm using libvlc in a live TV player and pausing the stream causes the problem described above).

I searched around web and I found something about a timeshifting module, but it doesn't seems that it's still available in 2.0.

Thank you,
Ovidiu D. Nitan

As a quick hack, I solved this by stopping the stream and playing it again, when the user is "unpausing" the playback.
