VLC audio stutter and echo

Postby March » 25 Mar 2012 14:02

I updated my 1.1.11 VLC to 2.0.1, the audio was echoing so I changed the audio output module to Win32 (like suggested to do when this problem occurs) and it started stuttering instead. I tried changing the output module to the other ones that I have but it either had no audio or was echoing again.

Help ?

Only happens with video files? Or also with audio only files?

For me it also happened after the most recent update. My problem is ALL video formats. I generally watch everything using VLC but with this annoying echo I am forced to bounce back and forth between WMP and DIVX.

I do know that VLC worked perfectly for me prior to this latest update so this echo is directly correlated to this latest update. :!: :!: :?

Does it work better if you use OpenGL video output module?

I had the same issue on version 2.0 so I downgraded to 1.1.11. When 2.0.1 came out, I upgrade to it and it worked fine for awhile and now it's back to doing the echo (default output module) or skipping/stutter (win32 output module).

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but between it working and not working correctly I did mount a couple DVD images and played it first with VLC and then with Windows Media Player. The reason I switched to WMP is because VLC wasn't recognizing the two versions of the movie on the image. There was a "Theatrical Version" and an "Unrated Version" and VLC would replay certain sections of the video.

Ok I had the echo stuff too BAD!!!!!, heres what I did to fix it, get version 1.1.11, I looked thru all the threads i could find every where and tried about 20 different things to no avail. if your one of the computer masterminds out there that even knows what a video output module is or even where to find it then you may be able to get this new version to work but I sure couldn't, (I followed the instructions very closely Mr vcl-help which were very clear and complete by the way) i just not could get it to work. so I just went back to the one that worked
