audio troubleshooting

Postby melcitron » 12 Apr 2012 09:19

Hi,
I've tried to read a Blu-ray files, particurlarly the PIP stream of the main file.
The video works but not the sound (apparently it's a DTS express audio track).
Any solution?

thanks

It would be nice if you could cut a sample of this main file.

Use DGsplit and read here about how to do it:
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=57724&p=193335#p193335
50 MB should be enough.

Then upload the sample file to either http://streams.videolan.org/upload/ or to MirrorCreator.com or to EmbedUpload.com, so it will upload the file for you to several other hosts, and then post the link to the file here.

Also open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.

We found it, don't worry.

VLC doesn't decode DTS Express, aka LBR, yet.
You should create a ticket on the VLC Trac as a new enhancement request, with a link to this thread and the name of your sample file (actually 1_0.avi, which is in fact an M2TS, uploaded on 12-Apr-2012 14:05).
