Problems playing network streams over UDP Multicast

Postby jhcs » 28 Jul 2005 13:59

Hi,

I've searched around for issues regarding problems with network streams, though I have not found any information that helps me. Has anybody else come accross this error:
[00000289] main decoder error: decoder is leaking pictures, resetting the heap
[00000292] main video output error: picture 0x8d55bc4 refcount is -1
[00000292] main video output error: picture to date 0x8d55ddc has invalid status 6
[00000292] main video output error: picture to display 0x8d55ddc has invalid status 6
[00000292] main video output error: picture 0x8d55ddc refcount is -1
[00000289] main decoder error: decoder is leaking pictures, resetting the heap

The system I am using is as follows:
Tyan Thunder K7X Motherboard
2 x AMD 2400+ Procs
3GB RAM
Intel Pro 1000/MT Server NIC
PNY nVidia 6600 GT AGP graphics card ( NVIDIA Linux x86 NVIDIA Kernel Module 1.0-7664 )
Running Fedora Core 4, installed all required libraries from RPMs, installed VLC from source, running 0.8.2.

I have another machine:
2 x Intel 2400MHz XEON Procs
2GB RAM
Intel Pro 1000/MT Server NIC
nVidia Quadro FX2000 AGP graphics card ( NVIDIA Linux x86 NVIDIA Kernel Module 1.0-7664 )
Running Fedora Core 4, installed the same as the machine above.
This machine runs fine.

Does anybody have any ideas? The machines are on the same physical network, attached to a Foundry BigIron 8000 JetCore switch.
