Version 2.0.x and *.sef files

Postby Hammer842 » 20 Mar 2012 21:19

I'm unable to play files with an sef extension starting with version 2.0.0 and continuing with version 2.0.1. The files produce an image which either stutters a few times and freezes or simply freeze immediately. I made sure I had a good install by deleting "C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN" and "%APPDATA%\VLC" before the install. Version 1.1.11 had no problems with the default settings so I reinstalled it. I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

Sorry for the delay, I had to learn how to use Sky Drive for the first time. Here is the link to the .sef file:
https://skydrive.live.com/#cid=201EF781 ... 2912%21140

It's a video file with no sound that plays perfectly in VLC 1.1.11 but no longer plays properly in 2.0.0 or 2.0.1.

Indeed, it's much more fluid with vlc 1.1
This file is demuxed as an avi file, but in version 2 there are a lot of :
main video output warning: picture is too late to be displayed (missing 20 ms)

Is there any setting I can make in VLC to correct this problem with version 2.0?

you could create a bug report on trac :
