Hi,
IMHO, 2 simple but essential features are missing:
1) displaying the total (and, possibly, the remaining) time of a playlist;
2) exporting/importing all the VLC settings/preferences/options into a single file.

vlcrc is always in %appdata%\vlc (under Windows) unless you override the path with command-line option.
