LibVLC documentation

Is there a document listing the changes needed to code that uses the old (0.8.6f in my case) LibVLC?
Or better yet, a version 0.8xxx style wrapper for LibVLC 2.0
I have an old program that works, but would like to take advantage of the bug fixes, newer format capabilities, etc of LibVLC 2.0

Why? No volunteers to make it? Or a policy decision to break decisively with the past?

IMHO, the API was untenable in the long run. I don't think it's even reasonable to try to make a wrapper.
