Blu-Ray disc playback

Blu-ray video content is under BDMV\STREAM folder. Usually the actual movie is the largest .m2ts file.

I'm getting Parallels, Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate (64 bit), AnyDVD HD, and an external Blu Ray drive in the future so that I can rip Blu-Ray Discs on my Mac (as well as play Microsoft games). That might be overkill for a MacBook Pro, but it's a lot less expensive than buying a new computer with Microsoft OS. With that being said, my MacBook Pro can natively mount ISO disc images at any time, although I've found that VLC player can open a mounted or non-mounted DVD ISO. But, as it sounds in this thread, VLC player still lacks support for Blu Ray ISOs, mounted or not. Might support be added in the future via an update?

Maybe. Blu-ray uses different file system (UDF 2.5 vs. UDF bridge) than DVD, so direct ISO playback will require some additional code. Mounted discs should work.

This should be fixed now with VLC 2? I haven't tried it yet, but I'm assuming as long as you have the decoder libraries for encrypted BRs it will work now. Has anyone tried this?

Blu-ray support is still experimental. So all releases won't play.
