Running in daemon mode

Postby unzari » 25 Jul 2005 01:32

What a great piece of software! I've sworn by MPlayer until now (and still do, in fact), but I've just discovered VLC, and it's really top notch!

I'm having a problem trying to run it as a daemon (-d), though... When I do, I get the skin interface, and the http one works too. Howver, there is no output. It just does nothing.

I'm wondering if this could be an authorization problem for access to the X screen. I tried doing 'xhost +', but that didn't help.

By the way... I'd like to re-iterate what some others have said... a "panscan" along with a working "autocrop" would be great. :-)

daemon mode seams to be broken. I'll try to fix it.

When you run in daemon mode you shouldn't get any interface whatsoever... Strange.
