Subtitles distorted in 2.0

Postby tooth » 26 Feb 2012 16:50

VLC can't display subtitles since version 2.0. The video title from the OSD on start is readable though.

spudec debug: invalid starting packet (size < 4 or pts <=0)
spudec debug: spu size: 0, i_pts: 0 i_buffer: 128

Did it happen in 1.1 too?

No, in fact 1.1 runs perfect. No stuttering from the audio resampling, no brightness issue and working subtitles.

A sample of what? It happens with every DVD.

*edit: just tried with 2.1.0-git-20120228-0009 Rincewind and subtitles are working.

I have the same problem.

Sometimes part of a sentence is displayed, sometimes just a word or part of one. Other times no text or the text displayed is totally unrelated to the dialog.

The subtitles play OK on other media players and DVD players.
