Windows Taskbar is STILL on top of VLC when maximizing!

I just upgraded to 2.0.
All I have to say is; how can the "windows taskbar bug" STILL exist..?

Which maximize mode are you talking about?

VLC application maximize or Windows maximize?

Of course maximizing by windows the task bar is gonna show.

Maximizing by through VLC, I see no taskbar showing for me.

Maximizing the video into full-screen by pressing F or double-clicking the video.

It doesn't always happen for me either.

But when it does it's really annoying.

Although, it is possible that it has fixed itself for me.
I found an older thread with this problem on another forum.
There one person said to just "unlock" the windows taskbar, then "lock" it again.

I did that yesterday, and I haven't been using vlc a whole lot since, but so far the problem seems to be completely GONE!

Sooo, I still have no idea what causes the problem and what really fixes it but maybe this information can be used to help you find the problem, or at least help others who might have the same problem.

I have this exact problem myself and have always experienced this with the 1.xx versions, and i have used tons of different versions. I was kinda shocked that this is still a problem, when now trying out the new v2 RC

MPC has the terrible lag for me with windows aero activated when gpu acceletration is on, and vlc does this crap, i have tryied all the "fixes". what am i to do, no f*ckin way im usin wmp. It must be a conspiracy

Not as bad as before i think, but seems the root cause is not dealt with.
