VLC repaired a CD (seek) before playing

I played a CD , but before playing, I was asked if I wanted to repair (seek was not working correctly)I agreed, and after waiting, the CD started to play correctly until the end. The next day I checked on my free space, and it had decreased by over 400MBs.Is there a file where VLC stored the corrected video? Please help.

This was my original unanswered topic, now I want to know, does the original file have to be repaired each time of playing, or is the original file replaced by the repaired file?
