Selecting Audio PID

Postby BusyBox » 04 Jul 2005 10:18

Hi all
I've the following problem:
The FTA DVB channel EURONEWS has multiple audio languages that can be selected with program like ProgDVB under Windows, but how can I select witch audio language to stream with VLC?
I use the following CMD to stream EURONEWS:

vlc -R -d --programs 28015,1079 dvb: --dvb-adapter=0 --dvb-frequency=11954000 --dvb-srate=27500000 --dvb-voltage=18 --dvb-budget-mode --sout '#transcode{acodec=mp3,ab=192,vcodec=DIV3,vb=2048,width=
640,height=480,deinterlace}:standard{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,url=192.168.250.247:1313}'

What is to be added in order to select the audio language I want. On Astra 19.2E it takes the default (maybe) German audio language but I want the original English one. Audio PIDs according ProgDVB are in the 90-99 range!

Please enlight me :)

Either I'm asking the wrong question, or this is not yet implemented well or not at all.
Any developer opinion will be very helpfull.

you can select pids when using the "duplicate" item in --sout : http://www.videolan.org/doc/streaming-h ... /ch03.html

you can also stream all audio (and video and text ...) streams by using the --sout-all option (this might be a better solution than selecting just one audio stream)
