A couple of VLC 1.2 problems

Not sure if this is the correct forum to post VLC 1.2 problems or not.

I am running Ver. 1.2.0-pre3-20111220-0204 Twoflower on Windows XP, SP2. I previously ran VLC 1.1.11 for a short time.

When I am adding files (folders) to the Media Library, VLC frequently freezes and gives me an "End Task" option (which of course causes me to loose any just added files). I never had this problem with 1.1.11.

Also, on the Preferences page, under Playlist is a box titled "Configure Media Library." Clicking on it does nothing that I can tell.

I could not find these problems reported via a Search, so thought I should mention them here, in case you either don't know about them, or have a solution.

It is a debugger.

Anyway, there was one patch related to playlist, but I don't know if it fixes the media library issue you are having

I checked out both the debugger and the link you gave me. Both appear to require computer skills way beyond my capabilities. I'll just hope someone else complains and they get fixed.

No I have not. I assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that those were completely untested. Perhaps I am wrong.

Branches are 1.2.x, trunks are 1.3.x

When is 1.2 going to be properly released?

Hopefully end of this month, but there still few release blockers that are unfixed.
