New BDA screws-up VLC picture

Postby lowiq77 » 02 Jan 2012 10:30

Dear all,

I use VLC 1.1.4 on WinXP SP3, for playing a video signal coming from a USB video grabber. This device appears as USB 2863 Device, and works very well.

As I want to use also a PCTV 320e USB TNT tuner, I installed its BDA latest driver.

Problem is, this installation screws-up the video-grabber picture on VLC. The sound is OK, the video is still there, but the image resolution has dropped so much it is completely blurred. When I open the grabber in VLC, the picture has dwarfed to postal-stamp size.

I tried to play the PCTV 320e in VLC, it is recognized, but the picture is also postal-stamp size.

Any idea perhaps?

Thank you and happy new year,

You can reset VLC setting by removing %appdata%\vlc folder.
