Hello,
I do not know much about VLC media player and about videos.
I would like to convert a DVD so I can see it on a portable device.
When I try to convert the DVD, VLC always seems to stream the same 5:18 minutes without end.
What I did: In VLC media player: Menu \ Media \ Convert/Save \ Tab: Disc: Disc selection: DVD; Disc device: O:\ - JBSOEGS1 and pressed the button "Convert/Save". In the next window I left everything as it was (Source: dvd://O:\; Setting-Profile: Video - H.264 + AAC (MP4)) and only specified a filename and path for the destination file. Then I pressed "Start".
What happenes next is that VLC starts the DVD and shows in the status bar "streaming". The progress bar contiues up to 1:19 minutes (shown on the status bar on the right) but then streaming jumps back to somewhere around 0:43 minutes and seems to continue in the loop without end.
What can I do?
Thank you for your help,
HJStern
