Started looking at vlc and I think it could be the answer to a project I would like to do and was just wanting some feed back if this is possible.

I would like to create 2 web pages.

The first would control vlc, I am thinking browsing movie posters and selecting would choose a film

The second page would then play the film, the first page would handle play pause etc?

What I am thinking is the first page would display on a tablet and the second page would be on my ps3.

I was wondering are their any show stoppers?

I too have recently taken on this task. It's pretty easy to modify the style.css and the functions.js files to suit your needs.

The only peculiarity I found was the VLC web server does not like files with spaces in the names. An image file encoded as 3-10%20to%20Yuma.jpg will throw a 404 but 3-10toYuma.jpg will work fine. Also you need to remember to restart VLC whenever you add or change the names of your image files.

Hi I have read the forum for the last couple of days, and I am having no joy in getting a vob file sat in on my c:\

to play in a local browser.
