We want to use VLC as a player to a video projector using dual monitors-one being the projector. This works fine with VLC 1.1.12 with Snow Leopard. However we will have to purchase a new Mac laptop which will have Lion. Browsing this forum I found some instances of Lion problems.
So I would like to know what is the current status of VLC on Lion. If there are serious problems can anyone suggest an alternative?
This project will cost our small all volunteer non profit a bit of money so I want to get it off to a good start with compatible hardware and software.

There is no (user-visible) functional difference in VLC's behavior on Snow Leopard and Lion in the current releases.
This will change in VLC's next major release (scheduled for early next year), but there will always be a way to match the behavior on Lion to the behavior on Snow Leopard.
