video conversion

Postby bob woolridge » 16 Nov 2011 16:56

Hi everyone:

I'm new to vlc and new to Mac. Is it possible to use VLC to convert recorded dvd's
so they can be ingested into Final Cut Express 4 as MPEG 4? And (blush!) can I get
some guidance on how to do this in the simplest way possible?

Thanks in advance.

Oops!

This newbie just came across the ban on conversion-related issues.
I now blush harder; and offer apologies.

Yes, you can do so. But VLC isn't the best too. Use handbrake.
