Hello,
VLC player does not seem to be able to read a DVD with a menu composed of a still picture and a duration. As anyone already this issue? Is there a workaround?

What does Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) complain?

When I read the video TS as a DVD: nothing. The behavior is just that nothing appears on the screen, nor the still picture of the menu nor any buttons.

It should still give you messages when you do that, even if nothing is opened successfully.When I read the video TS as a DVD: nothing. The behavior is just that nothing appears on the screen, nor the still picture of the menu nor any buttons.

And is it scheduled to include it in a future VLC, because this kind of menu is in conformity with the DVD spec?

If someone sends patches, then yes. But AFAIK nobody is working with this.
