Linking or joining .mov files

Postby Uncle_Al » 26 Jan 2011 18:12

Hello ALL:
I know that I can open a folder with several .mov files in it, and it will play them in sequence. My question is how can I join those files together into one .mov file?
Thanks for the help.

On a Mac: Open both videos in Quicktime Player, select all in one and Copy - go to the other one and place the Cursor where you want the joint and Paste.

Of course, both should have the same dimensions or you get surprising results :D

If you want them to fade out/fade in you will have to pull them into a NLE (Non-Linear Editor) and splice them together with the appropriate transitions. Even something simple like iMovie on a Mac or Premiere Elements on a Windows machine should get it done.
