I upgraded from vlc 0.8.6.h, because some of the mp4 files do not play in older version that I had installed.
Now that I'm running vlc-1.1.11-win32, there are no videos at all. Audios work fine. Just no videos. I'm on windows vistas home version, 64 bit.
Lastly, The reason I've been using the 0.8.6.h for so long is because that version allows me to separate the direct 3D output window by itself which can be viewed in full screen but I have access to the controls and playlist by switching the active windows. Is there a way to do that in the new versions? I asked this once before, but only answer I got was that VLC always had that functionality, but not on how to get that older inteface back. (in my opinion that old interface with video and audio equalizer with separate playlist and output windows is he best thing about VLC player.)
Much obliged for any info.
